The Role
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to lead all pre-contract activities and ensure the successful transition of projects from client instruction through to contract execution. This is a pivotal role within TG Escapes, focused on securing viable, profitable projects while coordinating internal teams, consultants, and clients.
This role is office-based at our Coventry Head Office, therefore candidates must be within a commutable distance, although flexible/hybrid working may be available for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction Leadership
Act as the primary point of contact during the pre-construction phase for clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams.

Challenge assumptions, value-engineer solutions, and mitigate commercial risk.
Support preparation of tender bids, proposals, and client presentations.
Programme Development
Establish preliminary design and manufacturing programmes aligned with TG Escapes’ build solutions.

Based at our head office in York, CG Building and Restoration are a forward thinking, pro-active and growing company working in the North and West Yorkshire area.
We undertake a variety of projects predominantly in the residential and historic building sectors. Our business operates by understanding and building relationships with clients, getting to know their requirements, and caring for them.
We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our team to work with the Managing Director and Contracts Manager to provide effective commercial and financial management on projects up to £5m.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:

Calibre Search are delighted to be working closely with a nationally regarded Building Consultancy now looking to bring in a Director level Quantity Surveyor based in Manchester.
This position can also be flexible on location with the Practice having offices across Birmingham, Bristol and London. You will be their first hire within this field and offer all aspects of traditional quantity surveying, cost management and employers agent services.
You will have the trust and support from the Partners to be given the resources to help build a team nationally over the next five years whilst developing on their client base to help drive the business into new ventures.
This Practice already boast a national array of commercial and industrial clientele and have some fantastic pipeline already secured for the New Year. Some projects involve some of biggest brands across the globe which you will be involved from the get-go and in time, you will look to establish your own network as you progress within this role.
Perfect position for anyone really wanting to be their own boss and have the autonomy to build a national QS focused team. If successful, you will easily find yourself pushing towards Equity Partner.

My client is a highly regarded national project and programme consultancy. Due to continued increased demand for their Building Surveying services, they are seeking a senior hire to spearhead the growth of their London team, supporting the newly appointed 'Head of Buildings'. Set up 30 years' ago, they have grown from strength to strength, and now employ over 200 members of staff across the UK.
The workload is within both the public and private sectors and is thus broad across asset classes. Clients include TFL, Taylor Wimpey, Oxford University, British Land, and various Pension Funds. They have number of existing high-profile projects and a significant pipeline of future opportunities. The successful applicant should also be keen to develop and enhance client relationships to secure repeat business opportunities.
You will be expected to:
Have strong experience within delivery of project management schemes
Have knowledge on technical Building Surveying services, such as; dilapidations, TDD, neighbourly matters etc.
Support the Director with business development and expansion into the commercial sector.
Grow the presence of the Building Surveying Team nationally (travel as and when required)
About you:
The successful candidate will be a qualified Building Surveyor (MRICS) and have at least 5 years' PQE experience. You should have the ability to work autonomously, and have proof of bringing in work, and managing client relationships.
