This is a fantastic opportunity for a Site Manager to join our project in Durham. You will be responsible for aspects of a small/medium sized project or several small projects with an indicative value of up to £1M-£15M.
What you will be doing
* To plan and deliver all work on a small/medium sized site or a few smaller sites, ensuring work is completed on time and to the defined standard.
* To ensure short and medium contract programmes are planned, reviewed and delivered.
* To monitor progress periodically against the project plan and monitor expenditure, resolving issues but may escalate critical operational issues to the Project Manager (if a larger site).

What you’ll be doing:
• Preparation and estimating of tenders for submission
• Preparation and monitoring of works programmes
• Interim valuations and final accounts
• Attend site progress and cost meetings and liaising with sub-contractors
• Taking contracts from procurement through to final accounts
• Primarily focused on managing the profitability of projects
What you’ll get in return:
Salary will be in the region of €70,000 - €80,000, which will be fully negotiable depending on experience, along with a full benefits package.

They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Civil Engineering Commercial Manager. The successful candidate will lead the Commercial Team on marine and coastal development with a value in excess of £80million. You will need to demonstrate knowledge of working as a Commercial Manager/Managing Quantity Surveyor on a broad range of Civil Engineering projects and will need to be proficient in all aspects of the NEC form of contracts. You will also need to be an excellent communicator and have a keen eye for detail. You will also need to demonstrate excellent man management skills as you will be one of the most senior personnel on this major project.
