Your new role This is initially a single site role where you will cover the building of a new school in South Down. You must be technically competent at setting out using a robotic total station, taking levels, using AutoCAD and have 1 to 3 years on-site experience in an engineering role. As Site Engineer, you must be able to demonstrate project delivery and be confident in supervising subcontractors and plant, as well as being health and safety conscious. You will manage works on site through to handover with all engineering responsibilities in between. What you'll need to succeed To be considered successful, applicants must be within a reasonable commute to the South Down area. Ideally, you will be based in the Armagh / Down areas to minimise any major travel. You will be required to have an up-to-date CSR card and any other industry qualifications (street works licence, first aid) are beneficial but not essential at this stage. 1-3 years' previous engineering experience will be required, with a preference to those who have worked on commercial or civils schemes, however all sectors including residential experience will be considered. What you'll get in return This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Site Engineer to join an excellent local contractor who can offer an exclusive base here in NI. You will gain solid experience working on small and large scale Civil & Building projects throughout Northern Ireland and will be financially rewarded with an attractive hourly rate, and the opportunity to work on some of the biggest projects in NI.
