I am currently working on behalf of a client based in North Tyneside who are looking to add a Design Team Manager to their fast growing practice.
The ideal candidate will be either a Chartered Architectural Technologist or experienced Architect, who has a strong understanding of AutoCAD, Revit and Residential processes. Ideally working in a senior capacity currently, or capable of overseeing the work of a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing a small design team
- Providing a lead designer role on a variety of projects
- Supporting, coordinating and providing leadership to the Design Team
- Reporting directly to the Managing Director
- Applying and liaising with representatives of the Local Authority
- Development and coaching of the design team
Essential Requirements:
- MCIAT Chartered Architectural Technologist or Qualified Architect with 3 years minimum experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of local planning policy and building regulations
- In-Depth knowledge of Autodesk Revit
- Ability to work autonomously
- Experience of design for residential extensions, small and medium housing developments and conversions of all kinds
