My client is looking for an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor who has exposure to working on residential projects in the London region. You will be will working as part of a wider team of Quantity Surveyors reporting into a Senior Surveyor. You will be working on bespoke new build schemes ranging from 60 to 100 units in total, handling both traditional build and RC frame developments. the Ideal candidate will be career minded and self motivated with previous experience of working on new build residential schemes.
Duties will include:
-Understanding of architectural and structural drawings
-Measurement
-Prepare tender package
-Send out invitations to tender to sub-contractors
-Cost comparison, negotiating and appointing preferred sub-contractors
-Prepare contract documents
-Assessment of sub-contractors work valuation, issue payment certificates and making payment for sub-contractors
-Prepare final accounts for sub-contractors

Key Tasks & Responsibilities of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor -
Assisting with:-
* General project coordination and administration.
* Preparation of initial site budgets.
* Liaison, co-ordination with other departments regarding development works including engineers, surveyors, buyers, interiors and the construction team.
