The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across several retail stores, maintaining, and repairing a range of commercial heating systems and air conditioning units. Additionally, you will undertake regular planned store visits to complete reactive work, PPMs and minor repairs as requested by the customer. Key Responsibilities: Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across a number of sites. Service and repair a range of mechanical equipment, e.g. boilers, fans, pumps, AHU's, FCU's. Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual& s technical competence in accordance with current specifications. Order spares to the laid-down procedures. Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the HVAC supervisor of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement. Qualifications / Experience: Essential SVQ/NVQ Level 3 within Heating/Ventilation/Mechanical / HVAC or Equivalent Qualification. ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1/1A as a minimum. Desirable but not essential ACS Domestic Gas Qualifications CCN, CENWAT, CPA as a minimum. City and Guilds 2079-1 FGas Category 1. City and Guilds th Edition. The ideal candidate: Flexible to be part of the 24/7 on-call rota every 1:4 weeks. Full driving license. Experience using a PDA system. Have the ability to work at heights, work in confined spaces. Carried out PPM and reactive maintenance within a similar retail environment.

We are hiring a Mechanical Shift Engineer with a background in Plumbing or Air Conditioning to join an established facilities maintenance team. Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across all mechanical systems. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, chillers, pipework, and commercial plumbing infrastructure. Small project installs Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure optimal system performance and comfort levels. Manage water hygiene, Legionella testing, L8 compliance, and general plumbing diagnostics. Respond to emergency call-outs on-site and support minor installation or refurbishment works. Job Title: Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician Salary: £40,000 plus overtime & benefits Location: Midlands based, in the field Contract: Permanent - 40 Hours per week Role Purpose To provide a mobile Refrigeration / Air Conditioning services, both regular planned service against pre-agreed schedules and reactive work and urgent breakdown, plus installation of new equipment. Main Duties and Responsibilities Assembling and installing air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems and components. Fault diagnosis on various systems i.e., Splits, Twin, Multi, VRF and Chillers. Carry out leak test in compliance with the F Gas Regulations. Repair and replace defective parts of AC and Refrigeration systems as and when required. Recommending, developing, and performing preventative maintenance procedures. Identifying refrigeration faults and system malfunctions. Adhering to applicable standards, safety procedures and policies To provide callout response for customers as detailed on the weekly callout rota. To work an amount of overtime to complete chargeable out-of-hours PPM and reactive work. Ensuring reports and commissioning sheets are kept to a high standard. To ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards. Provide a professional service in a way which ensures customer satisfaction. To be fully aware of contractual requirements and customer needs at all times To evaluate performance and ensure proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out. Liaise with clients and internal departments to build effective relationships ensuring that the image presented suitably represents the high standards required by the Company. Supporting selection and procurement of materials, tools and equipment required including supplier and internal liaison. Qualifications & Experience C & G Level 2 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or NVQ equivalent F Gas Certified IPAF PASMA Full, Clean Drivers Licence Good technical knowledge of various Split Air Conditioning and VRV/VRF equipment.
