Main job: Operate a 360 tracked excavator (aka digger) to dig, load, demolish, and move materials on construction, quarrying, or groundworks sites. Key Responsibilities 1. Operate the excavator: Use controls to dig, slew, travel, and load materials 2. Site tasks: Excavate trenches, foundations, level ground, load lorries 3. Safety checks: Pre-start checks, watch for hazards, keep people clear of swing 4. Attachments: Swap buckets, breakers, grabs as needed 5. Compliance: Follow site rules, PUWER, banksman signals 6. Efficiency: Meet production targets, minimise damage to surfaces 7. End of shift: Park safely, report faults, refuel Requirements UK 2026 - Quals: CPCS or NPORS card for 360 excavators (A2 or equiv). CPCS red/blue depending on size - Experience: 2-5 years operating 360s. Experience with breakers, rock buckets helpful - Tickets: CSCS card, SMSTS if managing others - Skills: Good spatial awareness, smooth controls, communication Typical Day - Morning: Checks, toolbox talk, plan jobs - Work: Dig, break, load, move material - End: Clean machine, report defects

This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified operative with previous substation experience and the correct National Grid authorisations already in place.
