A Senior Project Manager is now required for a global consultancy outfit now looking to strengthen their PM Public Sector team in Manchester.
This role is suitable for anyone at Senior or even Associate level who would love the challenge of becoming a specialist and the go to PM for any healthcare and social care project matters that come through the door.
The practice are highly skilled and experienced in most sectors but due to the new demand in the market, the priority to bring in a strong PM with healthcare experience is now something they want to strengthen and move forward with. Experience delivering projects of up to £25 million and working via NEC3 would also be beneficial for this particular role.

Duties/Requirements:
Conduct feasibility studies, including site surveys, site investigation, site evaluation etc
Interview and select contractors for tendering or negotiation, evaluate tenders received and appoint contractor
Inspect and monitor the construction works with regard to quality and conformity to agreed specifications and drawings
Prepare regular reports to clients on all aspects of the project including progress, programme, costs, risks and quality management
Client liaising and chairing meetings throughout the project life cycle
Ideally having relevant qualifications being MRICS/MAPM or working towards such qualifications
5+ years previous construction/property consultancy experience as a Project Manager or Quantity Surveyor (PQS operating as Employers Agent)

Key accountabilities
To deliver the full cycle of cost planning and cost management services in relation to construction projects and in support of the team in Manchester.
To help support the growth of the business offering key advice to commercial investor clients with a diverse mixture of schemes
Pre and post contract stages including warranties, feasibility studies, cost planning, compiling and reporting on tenders, and agreeing final accountsPerformance criteria
Sound knowledge of building contracts including JCT
Independent delivery of procurement; single and two stage tendering
Ability to meet and exceed fee target
Cost consultancy experience in the commercial, residential and retail sector
Ability to demonstrate experience of good client relationship management
Experience of delivering successful commercial cost consultancy
Experience of working on project values ranging from £1m to £10m
Experience of using a variety of forms of contractSkills and behaviour
BSc Quantity Surveying
Ideally MRICS qualified
