Mechanical Estimator

About the Company:
We are working on behalf of a well-established and respected regional M&E contractor delivering top-quality mechanical and electrical solutions across commercial, education, and other key sectors. With a strong portfolio of successful projects and a growing pipeline, they are looking for a meticulous and driven Mechanical Estimator to join their expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate mechanical estimates for commercial, education, and other project sectors.
• Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify materials, labor, and resource requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and ensure accurate pricing.
• Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns and submit detailed tender proposals.
• Assist in value engineering solutions to provide competitive pricing while maintaining quality.
• Support project handovers by providing key insights and knowledge on awarded contracts.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, pricing, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction or M&E sector.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, and plumbing installations.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Full UK driving license.
