They are currently seeking to appoint a Commercial Manager/Director who will be based near their office in West Byfleet but required to carry out regular site visits for projects ranging in size from £1M – £5M (Mainly between £1M-£2M Projects). Role
Dealing with customer requests for quotations and invitations to tender
Obtaining quotations from suppliers for tender purposes
Producing tenders from BoQ;s, and specification/drawings
Preparing contract and tender documentation
Completing risk and value management as well as cost control
Check/manage company purchase orders to suppliers and negotiate prices and contract terms with suppliers.
Compiling and issuing valuations to clients
Verifying and approving sub-contractor valuations for payment
Assisting with the running of the office and prioritising and sharing out the workload
Work closely with/monitor/mentor/assist our trainee quantity surveyors.
Develop strong relationships with existing clients and bring new business on board
Carry out additional tasks as requested by the Managing Director.
