The joint venture for the Lead Proposals Engineer role is focused on the delivery of essential water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the eastern half of Southern Water's region, encompassing Kent and Sussex. The work ensures the reliability and resilience of water services for communities across the South East. Responsibilities Ensure constructability input is received from delivery partners in a timely manner. Collaborate with the Regional Construction Lead to allocate appropriate resources to projects. Manage project activities related to scope, schedule, financial performance, risks, quality, and resource utilisation within defined parameters. Escalate issues to the Regional Project Managers as required. Promote and uphold robust Health, Safety, and Wellbeing standards across all projects. Engage with stakeholders in line with the overall communication strategy, covering design and construction stages, permits, planning consents, and streetworks coordination. Candidate Criteria Degree-level qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline, or an HND with relevant vocational training. Substantial experience in a Project Manager or Senior Agent role. Demonstrable leadership capability and experience managing multidisciplinary Design & Build projects, including civils and MEICA. Comprehensive understanding of construction contract law and experience with standard forms of contract. Strong technical knowledge of contemporary construction techniques and best practices. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Primavera software, and document control systems. Possession of a relevant CSCS card. Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental Management.
