Job Description

We are looking for Project Manager to join a well-run, ambitious and growing Regional Principle Contractor, based in Maidenhead in Berkshire.

The company are increasingly winning multi-disciplinary projects direct from clients, and as a result they are keen to recruit an experienced Construction professional, who is keen to progress to a Project Manager.

Projects are typically located across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire and are in the Light Industrial, Commercial and NHS sectors with Project Values ranging from £500k up to £5 million.

Based out of the office near Maidenhead, and on sites the successful candidate will be responsible of planning and subsequently managing a broad range of construction and refurbishment projects.

As a Project Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking site survey s
  • Developing Project Programs & Schedules of works
  • Resource & material planning
  • Procurement
  • Setting up safe Sites
  • Ordering materials & plant in good time
  • Managing site logistics
  • Coordinating with other Contractors
  • Negotiating and Recording site variations
  • Managing Project Budgets
  • Recording details of any delays
  • Updating project programs
  • Trouble shooting on site
  • Writing, reviewing and amending RAMS

The successful candidate will be/have all of the following:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar
  • Be able to read and interpret design drawings
  • Have experience of writing, amending and reviewing RAM s
  • Have experience of managing Site teams
  • Have experience of sourcing and procuring materials & plant
  • Will have kept a site diary including recording variations
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of seeing projects through to their conclusion
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of monitoring Project Budgets
  • Have a track record of dealing with subcontractors
  • Valid CSCS and/or SMSTS
