Location: Portsmouth
Salary: 35-42,000 (depending on experience)

An award-winning architectural studio in Portsmouth is seeking a talented Architect to join its expanding team. Renowned for its innovative, sustainable, and client-focused approach, the practice has built an impressive portfolio across commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Architect to take on a senior role, lead significant projects, and help shape the future direction of a forward-thinking, design-led practice.

Key requirements:

  • ARB-registered Architect with substantial post-qualification experience in the UK
  • Strong design flair combined with excellent technical knowledge
  • Advanced Revit proficiency (essential)
  • In-depth understanding of UK building regulations, planning processes, and RIBA work stages
  • Proven experience delivering projects from concept through to completion, ideally in education, healthcare, or commercial sectors
  • Effective communicator with leadership and mentoring experience
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, able to oversee multiple live projects
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to commute to Portsmouth

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver projects through all RIBA stages, ensuring design excellence and technical precision
  • Provide leadership within the studio and mentorship to junior team members
  • Act as a key client liaison, maintaining strong relationships with consultants and contractors
  • Develop innovative, sustainable design solutions aligned with the practice's ethos
  • Ensure all work meets planning, regulatory, and quality standards
  • Contribute to business development and help steer the strategic growth of the practice
