Job Description

Ivy Resource Group are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor - or a Quantity Surveyor ready to step up - to join a prestigious high-end residential construction company based in Gloucestershire. This is a permanent position with an immediate start, offering a salary of up to 70,000.



The Company

Our client is a well-established high-end residential contractor with a reputation for delivering bespoke, luxury homes across Gloucestershire and surrounding areas. Their projects combine craftsmanship with quality finishes, and they're now seeking to grow their commercial team with a talented QS who shares their eye for detail and passion for excellence.



The Role Entails:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit, specialist team where you'll take ownership of financial operations across high-spec residential builds. The role would suit a seasoned Senior QS or a capable Quantity Surveyor looking to make the step up. A background or knowledge of carpentry or traditional building methods would be highly beneficial.



What You Will Be Doing:

  • Manage all cost-related aspects of high-end residential construction projects

  • Prepare and submit valuations, variations, and final accounts

  • Oversee subcontractor procurement and account management

  • Lead financial reporting, including CVRs and forecasts

  • Provide commercial insight to the project delivery team

  • Liaise with clients, architects, and site managers to ensure smooth project delivery

  • Contribute to pre-construction processes including tender analysis and estimating



What We Need From You:

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential or bespoke projects (ideally luxury sector)

  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (JCT experience preferred)

  • A carpentry background or practical construction understanding is an advantage

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills

  • Ambition to grow within a high-performing team

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy
