Rate: £275 £300 per day
Hours: 8 9 hours per day

Overview:

We are urgently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a live Data Centre project in The Docklands, East London, on a 12 month contract The successful candidate must have solid experience managing mechanical works on site within mission-critical environments.

You ll be responsible for supervising mechanical trades, maintaining quality and productivity, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating daily site activities to meet project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the installation of mechanical systems: CHW, LTHW, HVAC, DX units, containment, pump sets, and associated pipework

• Lead and manage mechanical operatives and subcontractors on site

• Coordinate with project and site managers to align installation progress with schedule

• Review mechanical drawings and ensure accurate, quality installation in line with spec

• Ensure site safety, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce RAMS compliance

• Report daily progress and escalate issues where necessary

• Support the commissioning, testing, and handover phases

Requirements:

• Proven experience supervising mechanical works on Data Centre projects (essential)

• Mechanical trade background (pipefitting, HVAC, plumbing, etc.)

• Strong understanding of mission-critical mechanical systems and installation standards

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• SMSTS or SSSTS (required)

• CSCS Card Supervisor/Gold or Black (required)

• First Aid certification (preferred)

• Reliable, organised, and able to lead from the front
