Main Contractor – Construction
South East London – Site Based
Permanent: £85,000 - £90,000
Freelance: Negotiable: £380 - £450 per day
One of the World’s Leading Construction Main Contractors is currently searching for an individual to become the Engineering Manager on one of their most prestigious projects located in the heart of London. This project is a £4+ Billion redevelopment scheme with a current phase valuing £1.7 Billion. The current works consist of Structural Frame installation which consists of both Reinforced Concrete Frames and Structural Steel Engineering so experience working on this phase of works is essential.
This individual must have a very strong Engineering background and have strong experience managing a range of engineering personnel including Site Engineers, Temporary Works Design Engineers, Structural Engineers and Project Engineers. This person must be comfortable managing 50+ personnel, reporting to the onsite Director.
Role:
- Manage a range of specialist engineering personnel throughout the project, covering all aspects of construction from Temporary Works, Civil Engineering and Structural Frame Installation.
- Liaise with onsite Construction personnel including Construction and Technical Directors, as well as Senior and Project Engineers.
- Deliver daily and weekly progress reports to other department heads and deliver briefings to your management team.
Required:
- An individual with at least 5 years experience working in a managerial role, specifically in the Engineering aspect of construction.
- You must have strong engineering expertise and preferably will have progressed up from a Senior/Project Engineer occupation.
- Relevant Construction Certificates are required including CSCS and SMSTS.
