Project Manager - Central London
Working for the Main contractor on a hotel construction project in central London. Upon joining the team you will manage and work alongside a small team of site based colleagues reporting into the Construction Director. We are looking for someone who builds positive working relationships with both colleagues and sub-contractors to deliver construction excellence.
As our project manager, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our project is delivered on time. You will be the go-to person for everything involving the project organization and timeline.
- Determine and design project scope and objectives
- Predominantly site based work focussing on managing and supervising the M&E and Interior Design Fit out Managers
- Oversee the fit out of all M&E and Interior Design Fit out work
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manager resources in an effective and efficient manner.
- Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
- Track project costs to meet budget
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
- Monitor progress and adjust as needed
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Ensuring good quality technical support at all times and in all areas
- Arrange and attend meetings and communicate with Construction Director and project team members to establish and deliver on deadlines
- Prepare and review of specifications and drawings for M&E systems.
- Organise and attend regular site progress meetings with site personnel and sub-contractors to monitor progress, ensuring the project manager is always updated
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 10 years of project management related experience
Experience of working within a hotel or hospital construction environment
Qualified as an Architect, interior designer or engineer.
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget and timeline
