Specific tasks ensuring that the performance of the regional office satisfies monthly objectives and forecasts agreed between the Regional Manager and the Board of Directors, which will generally include the following items
* Managing, motivating and maintaining an operational team, with the assistance of the HR Manager on staff matters, appraisals etc.
* For ensuring that the sales process is correctly followed, to generate profitable and successful work and that checking procedures are implemented to minimise error.
* For ensuring that the pre-contract process including meetings and handovers from the sales department are correctly undertaken
* For ensuring all sites are correctly established in accordance with H&S legislation with the guidance of the H&S Manager.
* For ensuring that all site operatives are correctly trained in the use of equipment on particular sites with the guidance of the Training Manager.
* For ensuring that contracts are administered correctly including file, set up, start up, external progress reports, valuations, guarantees and file completion.
* For ensuring that contracts are supervised correctly by an appropriate number of site visits, and that adequate and accurate setting out is provided.
* For ensuring that any customer complaints at either pre-contract, during contract and post contract are proactively dealt with.
* For liaising with the Commercial Manager on matters of contract finance and for ensuring that contract cost controls are implemented weekly.
* For resourcing contracts with adequately trained subcontractors or employees, sourcing and vetting new crews where necessary.
* For ensuring that the regional office delivers profitability as defined in the annual budget (or as periodically amended), but without compromising our values of service, reliability, quality and health and safety.
* For ensuring that open and effective channels of communication exist and are maintained within the regional office and between all other company departments.
* Weekly / monthly reporting.
* All Operational members of staff have a duty to take photographs and provide information to facilitate marketing in respect of case studies etc

The Structural Engineering Associate Director position would ideally be suited to an existing Associate or Associate Director who is ready to take on a new challenge of leading a successful design team working in unison with the Regional Director.
With an existing pipeline of work you will be tasked with taking a lead technically, whilst managing resource with the aim to actively build a successful team under your leadership.
Currently, the scope of work is within the residential, commercial and mixed use sectors covering various mid and high rise new build and refurbishment projects in the West Midlands area with the aim to target more work within other sectors, including the Education sector.
Requirements:
·BEng/MSc (or equivalent) Civil/Structural Engineering
·CEng status with IStructE or ICE
·Min 15 years' experience of working within the West Midlands region
·Experience of managing a design team
·Ability to train and mentor more junior members of the team
·Experience of whole project process from fee proposals and concept design to project completion
Strong technical ability with in-depth experience of designing in all main materials

·Passion for business development
·Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen
