Architectural Technician / Architectural Technologist Reference: ORBIR118 Location: Birmingham Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well established and RIBA Chartered Practice located in the Birmingham Region. An excellent opportunity has come up for an experienced Architectural Technician / Architectural Technologist to undertake a long - term role working as part of a team within the Residential sector. An opportunity to work alongside the wider team within the Commercial and conservation sectors across all RIBA Stages is also on offer. The successful candidate will hold a minimum of 4+ years post qualification in a UK practice with solid knowledge of current and up to date Building Regulations. Experience and skills required for this Architectural Technician / Architectural Technologist role: A minimum of 4+ years post qualification UK based experience with solid knowledge of current and up to date UK Building Regulations Ability to produce accurate technical drawings and detailed working drawing packages. Excellent detailing skills. Collating, organising, investigating and producing technical information for use during the development of the project design. Excellent co-ordination skills between consultants. Previous residential experience preferred but not essential. Revit proficiency essential (AutoCAD and NBS Create desirable). Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists, MCIAT would be desirable but not essential. Training and mentoring opportunities to achieve accreditations would be available. Strong presentation and communication skills desirable. Attend site meetings as well as design team meetings. Ability to lead new projects from concept to completion as part of a team.
