About the role
The Senior Engineer, Floodwater Management post holder will carry out tasks relating to the Council's regulatory drainage functions which include reviewing planning applications to ensure sustainable drainage requirements are met. About the role
The Senior Engineer, Floodwater Management post holder will carry out tasks relating to the Council's regulatory drainage functions which include reviewing planning applications to ensure sustainable drainage requirements are met. The role includes designing and implementing highway drainage improvement schemes, site supervision of contractors, the development of sustainable drainage systems, reactive maintenance programmes for highway drainage infrastructure including street gullies.
About you
The postholder will need to demonstrate experience of successfully and consistent delivery of drainage related projects including experience of supervising the build of designed schemes. You will need a working knowledge of legislation relating to flood risk management and sustainable drainage systems and be experienced in managing drainage infrastructure, development of sustainable drainage systems and planned / reactive drainage programmes.

I am are currently recruiting an experienced Site Engineer/ setting out Engineer to work on Groundwork project based in East London.
The project will be a mixture of Groundworks and external works.
As the Site / Setting out Engineer you will be responsible for:
* Accurate setting out/surveying
* Conduct quality control checks and build records
* Assist senior engineer in ensuring all operations are carried out safely
* Assist in the supervising of sub - contractors on site
Candidate Requirements:
* Valid CSCS card.
* Previously worked as a Setting out Engineer, Site Engineer, or Engineering Surveyor.
* Must have previous experience in drainage, piling, pile cap and RC Frame.
* Experienced in RC work and Groundwork- min 3-4 years UK experience.

The Role:
There will be opportunities to manage and deliver projects as part of this ambitious programme of works and we’ll be relying on you to make sure that everything complies with current H&S, environmental and CDM requirements
Time and cost are just as important, as are the planning and preconstruction activities before works commence on site, and these are just some of the duties you will be involved with:
* Setting out of the detailed works as per the IFC drawings, ensuring checks are carried out on a regular basis
* Liaise with Site/Project Manager regarding methods, quality assurance, testing requirements, selection and methods of construction and production of RAMS
* Checking Inspection Test Plans and that installation on site is correct according to specifications
* Assisting with task briefings and resolving technical problems
* Ensure quality control is adhered to and activities are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with company Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures
