CPS has a 30-year contract with Connect Plus on behalf of Highways England. The contract, which started in September 2009, is to maintain and operate the M25 motorway network, including all adjoining trunk and slip roads, a network of 440km across six counties. CPS also has responsibility for the Dartford River Crossing in Kent, comprising both Dartford Tunnels and the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge.

My client are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the team to work on a Renewables Wind Farm project based in Galway.
My client has over 35 years of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation (M,E&I) expertise, with a directly employed workforce of more than 1000 people and in the region of €160 million revenue annually – it has offices in Dublin, Waterford, London & Stockholm.
Overall Role Objective
The Electrical engineer is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of electrical control systems and/or components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability. The Electrical Engineer will be involved in projects from the concept and detail of the design through to implementation, testing and handover.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
* Assist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue.
* Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports.
* Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
* Carry out document control, recording and transmitting information.
* Liaising and co-ordinating with clients, other members of the design team and contractors on technical issues.
* Managing all technical queries on site and assist project team in all site electrical engineering issues to include: the management, the planning, the testing and commissioning and the handover of all project systems.
* Prepare programs using MS project.
* Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate program of assigned engineering work and projects.
* Assemble bid, approval, and construction issue drawing packages.

* Supervise technicians and other engineers during development phase.

Qualifications / Skills
* An honours degree in electrical engineering.
* 2+ years experience within the Irish market
* Fluent English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in the Renewable/Utility sector would be an advantage
* Good IT skills, particularly in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Packages.
* Ability to work to strict deadlines.

To carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Fire & Security Systems.
Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
To ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records/documentation associated with the Fire & Security Systems.
To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all relevant reactive maintenance issues, and help desk requests.
To co-ordinate initial actions associated with all requests from the client.
To co-ordinate visiting specialist sub-contractors associated with Fire & Security Systems aspects of the PPM schedules.
To respond to call outs and cover breakdowns and emergencies associated with the contract as required.
Fault diagnosis associated with the PPM or Reactive maintenance of the site.
Assist other trades as necessary.
Manage workload and prioritise jobs appropriately
