Job Role
To be a Key member of the Maintenance team, ensuring safe and full operation of Hard Services at Aviva York & Sheffield contracts whilst taking consideration for the clients, staff, visitors & other service provider’s needs.
To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Proactive and Reactive works to all Electrical and mechanical systems in accordance with agreed service levels. Working independently or in a team to complete all maintenance and servicing tasks. To participate as part of an on-call rota for emergency call outs.
The engineer must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge of plant within a typical office block environment. Experience with HVAC heating systems, Air Handling Units, Fire alarms and associated equipment, Building management systems, Hot and cold-water systems including pumps and water temperature control would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
2. Respond to Building Management System alarms, and effect emergency repairs as needed.
3. Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the sites plant.
4. To develop a good working relationship with all members staff and the various client’s staff & Contractors.
5. Complete and return job sheets to allow records to be kept up to date. Ensure all tasks issued are completed in agreed SLA times & if there is a risk this cannot be achieved then seek assistance from Supervisors
6. Ensure a professional image is presented to clients and visitors and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
7. To ensure tasks as directed are completed with the appropriate H&S awareness/implementation.

Ground Worker - United Utilities - Advance Plus - Manchester area
Are you an experienced Ground Worker looking for a new challenge? If so then Murphy Group is keen to hear from you, we have multiple opportunities with immediate starts across the Manchester and Lancashire area to work on the United Utilities - Advance Plus Project. Working as the Ground worker/Pipe Layer or in a deep drainage gang you will assist with groundworks on site and will be involved with a range of duties from pipe laying, concreting, Deep Drainage and Street works etc.
The Project
A Strategic Working Alliance (SWA) between MWH Treatment and J. Murphy and Sons Limited has been created to deliver future works under AMP 7 for United Utilities as Advance Plus.
Advance Plus has been awarded two geographical batches of work across the North and South West with a combined value in excess of £500 million over a five-year period.
Advance Plus has been collaboratively working to secure AMP 7 work since January 2019. The first contract award for two batches in the North were received in August 2019 with further awards expected thereafter.
The Role

The Project
Severn Trent Water (STW) Capital Delivery Framework for the 7 successful LOT 1 Contractors comprises of a multidisciplinary programme of works covering, Clean & Wastewater Treatment, Infrastructure and, Reactive works across its vast region. STW has received 'Fast Track' status from OFWAT and are thus 1 of 3 Water Utilities proceeding from 1 April 2020 with their AMP 7 Programme of works.
For LOT1 contractors this will be a share of around £1.5bn over the next 5 years. The Framework has within it a provision to extend the contract to eight years based on performance. Call - Off Orders based on NEC4 Options A, C or E forms of contract selected as appropriate for given projects or batches of work
