Visible leader in adherence to and improvement of SHEQ policies and procedures
Manage incident and near miss reporting on site and encourage safety-first atmosphere
Ensure project compliance with CDM requirements and CPP
Ensure adherence to site rules and procedures
Ensure accuracy and currency of H&S documentation, updating documentation where required and reporting concerns to the H&S manager
Provision of first aid where required
Day to Day Responsibilities and Management
Senior Package PMs will have specialist knowledge in and be responsible for managing and delivering either the Civils, DH Mechanical, or M&E scope across multiple projects.
For project purposes on a day-to-day basis, will report to the relevant Senior Project Managers.
Work closely with Senior Site Supervisors and the other Senior Package PMs and to ensure smooth interface of works
Manage, monitor and report on package programme, commercial and contractual requirements
Directly manage project Senior Site Supervisors and provide technical, programme, budgeting & general support guidance to meet project requirements
Ensure project packages are appropriately resourced to meet programme and budget requirements
Track and resolve technical issues and outstanding works, seeking assistance where required
Monitor package suppliers and sub-contractors and ensure their compliance with scope, design, programme and budget
Attend client, supply chain and customer meetings, chairing and minute taking where required
Manage package build-strategy including off-site pre-fabrication, on-site laydown/fabrication, build sequence, testing and commissioning and handover
Report progress and concerns to the Senior Project Managers and stakeholders
Ensure Pinnacle Power systems and procedures are understood by the project team and contractors, and are used consistently through the project in line with company best practice
Work with Senior PMs to ensure all key documents such as quotes, technical submittals, design, O&M packs, QA packs, CDM and PEP documents are created, filed and issued on the document control portal (Procore)
Assist in producing technical documentation if required
Ensure soft-landing and project handovers are executed and recorded
Seek, engage with, and share knowledge on sustainable and carbon neutral industrial solutions
Commercial & Contractual
Assist Senior Project Managers & Commercial Team to prepare and review contract tender packs and returns to ensure the scope of works, programme and budget is understood
Lead on procurement of package materials with assistance from Commercial Team and Senior PM
Oversee issue and administration of package Contracts and POs to ensure adherence to package requirements, sign off project package invoices
Monitor, manage & record all package works subject to variation both up and down-stream
Assist commercial team to develop and define contracts that support a level of risk acceptable to the business
Customer Service & Communications
Provide regular package updates & reporting tailored to their audience as required
Develop strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, contractors and clients
Coordinate and liaise directly with internal and external stakeholders including designers, commissioning engineers, clients, sub-contractors, suppliers, the public
Ensure clarity and accuracy of stakeholder communications
Liaise with other teams to ensure project knowledge is not lost through handover stages

My client are currently recruiting for a Temporary Works Designer to work alongside the design team on a major infrastructure project. This is working for a tier 1 contractor based out of Manchester.
Duties and responsibilities:
Ensure the delivery teams are provided with safe, workable temporary works in timely manner to suit programme via in-house design or supplier/subcontract design checks.
Ensure my clients process for temporary works management is applied fully and efficiently.
Develop the in-house TW design team individuals and team capability.
Contribute to safety targets by pro-active leadership.
Develop positive working relationships with internal and external client teams.
Carry out TW designs from brief to issue of final drawings.
Carry out TW design review and formal design checking (including checks on supply chain proposals).
Ensure preparation and review of Design Risk Assessments including the development of appropriate design mitigation and communication with others in the construction process.
Ensure that TW designs are suitably categorised with respect to checking.
With the TW Design Manager ensure the that upcoming TW are identified on the TW register and these are translated to the TW design briefs register for planning and production of TW designs both in-house and externally.
Ensure that a design brief has been established with full consultation is adequate and is in accordance with the actual situation on site, and ensuring all construction loads are considered.
Liaise with permanent works designers to resolve issues of construction method and buildability as necessary.
Advise the permanent works designer of any temporary conditions or loads that should be considered in the permanent works design.
Ensure that designs are checked in accordance with their category for concept, structural adequacy and compliance with the brief.
Ensuring S-H-E hazards and risks have been avoided or reduced in the design and/or check of temporary works and that the Delivery Team are aware of the residual risks to be managed.
Control risk by identifying issues and providing appropriate responses.
Carry out site visits to aid identification of temporary works requirements and preparation of temporary works design briefs.
Relevent experience and qualifications required:
Civil or Structural Engineering Qualification, preferably BEng or higher (MEng, MSc), minimum (essential).
Previous experience in Temporary Works design or Civil/Structural design
Understanding and application of BS5975:2019 (essential).
Understanding and application of current Eurocodes (essential).
Good knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015 (essential).
Membership of relevant professional body (CEng MICE or CEng IStructE, preferred)

Temporary Works Designer
Location - Manchester

My client are currently recruiting for a Temporary Works Designer to work alongside the design team on a major infrastructure project. This is working for a tier 1 contractor based out of Manchester.
Duties and responsibilities:
Ensure the delivery teams are provided with safe, workable temporary works in timely manner to suit programme via in-house design or supplier/subcontract design checks.
Ensure my clients process for temporary works management is applied fully and efficiently.
Develop the in-house TW design team individuals and team capability.
Contribute to safety targets by pro-active leadership.
Develop positive working relationships with internal and external client teams.
Carry out TW designs from brief to issue of final drawings.
Carry out TW design review and formal design checking (including checks on supply chain proposals).
Ensure preparation and review of Design Risk Assessments including the development of appropriate design mitigation and communication with others in the construction process.
Ensure that TW designs are suitably categorised with respect to checking.
With the TW Design Manager ensure the that upcoming TW are identified on the TW register and these are translated to the TW design briefs register for planning and production of TW designs both in-house and externally.
Ensure that a design brief has been established with full consultation is adequate and is in accordance with the actual situation on site, and ensuring all construction loads are considered.
Liaise with permanent works designers to resolve issues of construction method and buildability as necessary.
Advise the permanent works designer of any temporary conditions or loads that should be considered in the permanent works design.
Ensure that designs are checked in accordance with their category for concept, structural adequacy and compliance with the brief.
Ensuring S-H-E hazards and risks have been avoided or reduced in the design and/or check of temporary works and that the Delivery Team are aware of the residual risks to be managed.
Control risk by identifying issues and providing appropriate responses.
Carry out site visits to aid identification of temporary works requirements and preparation of temporary works design briefs.
Relevent experience and qualifications required:
Civil or Structural Engineering Qualification, preferably BEng or higher (MEng, MSc), minimum (essential).
Previous experience in Temporary Works design or Civil/Structural design
Understanding and application of BS5975:2019 (essential).
Understanding and application of current Eurocodes (essential).
Good knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015 (essential).
Membership of relevant professional body (CEng MICE or CEng IStructE, preferred)
CITB Temporary Works Coordinator Course (preferred).

• Ensure early involvement and engagement with the Commissioning & Asset Integration Manager and their teams during the design phase, so a clear strategy and plan can be developed before we go to site.
• Report into the Risk Manager on all aspects of Civil and MEICA delivery including performance, forecasting and key issues.
• Provide support (MEICA in particular) to all delivery functions across the whole project lifecycle.

· Ensure a positive working relationship with clients.
· Ensure high personal levels of professionalism and presentation including appropriate dress code.
· Ensure that an effective and regimental snagging process is instigated, administered and concluded.
· Ensure that all project correspondence is properly archived at Completion.
· Compile an Information Release Schedule which identifies specific timescales for release of all information from designers, clients, statutory bodies and issue to all relevant parties.
· Monitor the schedule to ensure that information is made available as required for procurement of subcontractors and construction of the works.
· Arrange and chair weekly project review meetings with the team.
· Ensure that all appointed subcontractors are suitably experienced and competent in full compliance with the CDM Regulations.
· Undertake the role of Temporary Works Coordinator (unless agreed otherwise with Operations Manager).
· Ensure full compliance with all aspects of the Temporary Works processes.
· Develop the CPHSP and ensure that this is approved by the CDMC prior to works commencing on site.
· Ensure that the CPHSP is reviewed and updated on a regular basis to ensure full legislative compliance.
· Ensure daily safety briefing/coordination meetings with subcontractors take place.
· Be familiar with all relevant H&S legislation and ensure full compliance in this regard.
· Be familiar with the Company H&S Policy, individual role responsibilities and ensure full compliance.
· Ensure that the Project H&S File / O&M’s / Building Manuals are produced and submitted timeously.
· Develop the site quality management plan and ensure full compliance with all processes and procedures contained therein including compilation and completion of ITP’s, RAG reviews and NCR’s.
· Ensure specified quality standards are understood within the project team and supply chain and ensure that they are delivered on site.
· Ensure that an End of Project Review Meeting is organised
