Job Description
Our client, a leading organisation with in the not for profit sector, have a great opportunity for a 18 - 24 month fixed term contract to work on the client side for various construction projects.
As the Project Quantity Surveyor you'll work closely with the programme team to ensure all aspects of the contract and financials meet the desired outcomes of construction projects. You will take an active role, ensuring that the projects are mitigated from both financial and contract delivery against the NEC4 schedules.
Job Responsibilities -
+ Providing leadership and coordination to a delivery team and working collaboratively with sponsors and partners, including, consultants and contractors, in achieving Practical Completion.
+ Conducting due diligence reviews of proposals by assessing, design, specifications, cost estimates, development schedules and management plans.
+ Developing risk profiles and construction schedules to determine where deficiencies, compromises and/or alternatives can be utilised.
+ Ensuring appropriate risk mitigation measures are in place to control risks and protect achieving Practical Completion.
+ Maintaining knowledge of industry practice and staying current with construction costs.
Background
+ 3 - 5 years' experience from a client side or consultancy background.
+ Experience with working on commercial projects.
+ NEC3, NEC4 OR JCT Contract experience.
+ Highly organised and able to adapt, whilst prioritising the needs of our business.
+ Possess the ability to work with confidence and self-discipline.
+ Taking ownership of tasks and being able to demonstrate sound judgement and decision making skills.
+ Hold a recognised qualification in construction such as Quantity Surveying, RICS etc.
Salary:
+ £40,000 - 50,000 + pension, holiday, flexible benefits.
+ Fixed term contract for up to 2 years
