Assistant Quantity Surveyor

I am recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a regional main contractor based near Farnborough, Hampshire. The salary on offer is up to £30,000 depending on experience. This contractor works on new build and refurbishment projects up to circa £10m and you would be joining a commercial team based in the office. Role and responsibilities: * Assist with measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings) for Valuations, Variations & Final Accounts * Prepare and agree daywork sheets * Assist with measurement and valuation of subcontractors work for payment and Final Account purposes * Assist the QS to ensure that payments to sub-contractors are made on time and in accordance with the subcontract agreement * Assisting with preparation of external valuations * Assisting in preparation of financial reports by taking relevant site measurements and/or measuring from drawings Requirements: * Three years’ work experience as a Trainee/Junior Quantity Surveyor above HNC level or equivalent * Good communication skills – both verbal and written * Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a positive attitude * Quick to learn and strives for continuous improvement in everyday tasks * Understands the importance of meeting customers’ needs * Flexible with the ability to solve problems and find solutions * Good knowledge of JCT form of contract Salary and benefits: * Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience * Good support and training * Progression available as your career develops * Use of a pool car or mileage if using your own car If you are interested in this role please apply!
