Job Description

A national approved inspector and warranty provider are seeking to grow their current team by appointing a Building Control Inspector with a substantial building control or warranty inspection background. The role entails a starting salary of up to £53,000 plus benefits. Their major clients include builders, developers and private clients within the residential and commercial sectors. The company currently employs over 350 members of staff, approximately 200 of which are field-based. The role will focus exclusively on inspection in a Building Control context in relation to predominantly new build residential sites. The successful applicant will be required to cover the Kent region. Inspector responsibilities: Surveys and inspecting homes being constructed and / or converted, working closely with Developers and Builders to ensure as far as is reasonably possible the works are in accordance with the Technical Manual and current Building Regulations Effectively self-manage, by forward planning own workload, to provide a responsive, helpful and professional service whilst maximising time spent on site Carry out Developer assessments during the life of the project Completing reports and documentation based on site findings Frequent liaison with peers and management on technical matters Ensure inspections target a zero claims ratioInspector requirements: Previous experience operating as a Building Control or Warranty Inspector is essential Chartered via RICS/CABE/CIOB/ICWCI Can demonstrate an understanding of general insurance principles Up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and health & safety legislation Knowledge of warranties, quality control and/or defect resolution would be advantageous Full UK driving licenceBenefits: Salary up to £53,000 Annual salary reviews 25 days' leave Pension scheme Bonus scheme Private Medical Insurance Professional fees paid Training and developmentPlease click to apply or for further information please contact Hannah on (phone number removed) or via We aim to respond to suitable candidates within 5 working days.
