Job Description

Plumbing Engineer Objectives of the role: Job will entail the inspection, servicing and fault finding of plumbing, in both Domestic and commercial properties. The Post-Holder will be required to complete relevant documentation and certification to organisation standard, as well as attending reactive repair call outs. Role responsibilities: * Working as part of a team you will ensure that you meet Customer service standards and * reasonable expectations, during working hours and “out of hours”. * Carry out a wide range of work dependent on demand, to a high standard and ensuring high levels of productivity at all times. * To attend responsive repairs, diagnose faults and undertake remedial actions. * Respond as required to emergency situations. Manage materials and van stock as required. * Provide support and cover to other engineers and participate in the OOH’s service provision duty rota. * Liaise with despatcher for appointments, access and work details as necessary. * Liaise with customers to arrange access arrangements and to discuss works. * Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork including documentation e.g.job tickets and timesheets and ensure these are passed to despatcher within agreed timescales. * Ensure that any required qualifications for your position remain valid and to ensure that an * necessary training is arranged and undertaken within the specified timescales. * Attend meetings and training sessions as required. * Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures * Ensure any tools and equipment used are maintained in a safe manner and that any defects reported to your Line Manager immediately. * Ensure that your vehicle is regularly checked, maintained and well presented. * Protect the confidentiality of all records in line with DYNO practices and the Data Protection requirements. * All employees must comply with all company health & safety policies, procedures and * guidelines and promote and maintain an active approach to health & safety, in respect of yourself, colleagues and customers. Qualifications & Experience Essential Criteria * NVQ level 2 or 3, city & Guilds, in plumbing * Full UK driving licence * No more than 6 points on licence * Experience of driving vans Desirable Criteria · Water Supply (Water fitting) Regulations 1999 · Unvented Hot water Skills and Ability * Good organisational and time management skills. * Ability to keep calm in difficult circumstances. * Ability to build sound relationships with customers and staff. * Enthusiasm for providing an excellent service to our customers. * Ability to meet targets and deadlines, often under pressure. * Good communication skills, both verbal and written. * Good Customer Service skills.
