Assistant Quantity Surveyor

I am recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a privately owned residential developer based in West Sussex. You will be reporting into a Commercial Director and working on new build housing projects. The salary on offer is up to £35,000 plus package depending on experience. Role and responsibilities: * Assist with measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings) for Valuations, Variations & Final Accounts * Prepare and agree daywork sheets * Assist the QS to ensure that payments to sub-contractors are made on time and in accordance with the subcontract agreement * Assisting with preparation of external valuations * Assisting in preparation of financial reports by taking relevant site measurements and/or measuring from drawings Requirements: * Three years’ work experience as a Trainee/Junior Quantity Surveyor above HNC level or equivalent * Good communication skills – both verbal and written * Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a positive attitude * Quick to learn and strives for continuous improvement in everyday tasks * Understands the importance of meeting customers’ needs * Flexible with the ability to solve problems and find solutions * Good knowledge of JCT form of contract Salary and benefits: * Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience * Company car or car allowance * Benefits package – holiday, pension etc * Good support and training * Progression available as your career develops If you are interested in this role please apply
