Salary £30,171.60 + Company van
Location: Stafford and Shrewsbury (travel required)
Full Time, Permanent
40 hours per week

Our client have an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Operative to join them on a full time, permanent basis. You will be responsible for carrying out high quality fire remedial maintenance works to the Group’s properties as identified, and for external customers as appropriate.
Job requirements
To carry out inspections, identifying any remedial works required in accordance with good guidance for robustness and integrity – particularly around fire doors, door closers, hinges and door hardware.
To carry out all the traditional duties of a multi-skilled tradesman, including, Carpentry plus related finishes, and making good repairs, as instructed.
To ensure all work areas are left clean and safe at the close of each day’s work shift.
To ensure that work is carried out in accordance with all Health and Safety at Work Regulations and codes of practice, including wearing protective clothing and safety equipment as supplied, and to all attend training as requested.
To maintain up-to-date knowledge, proactively attending training pertinent to the role (where appropriate) and utilising this to make informed decisions whilst undertaking works activity

What our client looking for:
A competent joiner with the skills to fit or repair Fire Doors to regulations and required tolerances to a high standard of quality.
Relevant Trade qualifications or experience.
Existing experience of working in a similar position with a sound knowledge base of fire remedial works.
To be experienced in undertaking multi-skilled tasks, including a good standard of carpentry, glazing and door installation skills. Some experience of plastering preferred but not essential.
Sound understanding of Health and Safety requirements for typical construction related work activity
Friendly, trustworthy, reliable, honest, good time keeper, ability to work on own and as part of a team
Clean and current valid driving licence
