Are you and experienced Site Manager, seeking new permanent job in the South West & Wales?
Reporting to the Construction manager, the site manager will be responsible for managing an individual or series of projects dependant upon size or complexity.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all works are managed and coordinated to deliver on safety, quality and environmental objectives.
- Ensure that all works, including those of suppliers and subcontractors are completed to programme, budget and quality standards expected and in a professional and ethical manner adhering to commercial guidelines, established best practice and professional/company standards.
- Development and leadership of a team, defining and communicating contract objectives and constraints and complying with health, safety and environmental legislation, thereby delivering the end product on time, within budget and to the agreed quality.
- Ensure that the works are undertaken in accordance with all HS&E legislation, organisation Policies & Procedures & Minimum Safety Standards, including the site Health Safety and Environmental Plans.
- Review, produce & monitor Task Control Sheets & method statements for all works
- Ensure site inductions are carried out
- Use specialist software to assist in project delivery for example CAD, 4Projects, COINS for ordering plant etc.
- Ensure that works are coordinated to ensure suitable safe access and segregation is maintained
- Assists in establishing procedures to ensure that all safety documentation is collated and retained for example scaffold inspection records, PUWER records etc.
- Implements and monitors our Defect Free procedure
- Undertakes regular checks to ensure workforce are meeting quality requirements
- Undertakes weekly recorded site inspections for temp works such as hoardings, scaffolds, Haki stairs etc.
- Undertakes weekly recorded site inspections for all ongoing activities
- Ensures plant is inspected to meet PUWER guidelines
- Seeks opportunities to improve on provided information for commercial or practical benefit
- Actively promotes and contributes to our LEAN programme
