Estimator

Estimator required in Greenwich Our client are a medium-sized residential contractor based in Central London They undertake both new build and refurbishment projects ranging from £2 - £20m; they build using a variety of different methods including traditional, steel and modular build. In line with their expansion plans, they’re looking to secure an experienced Estimator to join their commercial team. The role will be based in the office with the option for working remotely part-time, once settled. As an Estimator, you will have a project track record of securing projects within the residential sector within the aforementioned project ranges. Responsibilities of the Estimator: * Oversee all tender and bid activity including pricing, preparation and submission, ensuring accuracy and quality, from initial enquiry and take-offs * Offering guidance, advice and training as the department steadily grows around you, while maintaining a hands-on role * Provide detailed breakdowns of tenders to directors and clients * Analysis of risk and opportunity * Obtain best value sub-contract and supplier prices in order to maximise value for money within secured works * Procurement of sub-contract works including documentation and compliance * Hold and attend regular tender review meetings * Effective communication with clients, suppliers, external consultants and colleagues through to senior management.
