Sub Agent

Role: Sub Agent Sector: Construction / Environment / Infrastructure Duration: Ongoing contract / freelance Rate: £220 - £240 per day dependent on experience Our client, a leading specialist subcontractor, is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join a major infrastructure project, to support pre-planning activities and the management and delivery of key project goals. The successful applicant will join a team of friendly professionals who are experts in undertaking ecology mitigation works and who work alongside main and principal contractors to deliver projects that support and protect the environment. The role will include site surveying in addition to maintaining communication across project streams and supporting the Site Manager and Project Manager. This is an ongoing freelance contract role. The role: Land / site surveying Identifying key sites Strong involvement in pre-planning activities and site logistics Maintaining relationships and communication across all elements of the project including customers, sub contractors and suppliers Acting as a liaison point between different elements of the project Management of site staff operatives and sub-contractors Write risk assessments, method statements and permits as appropriate Manage site records Promote safe working practices on site Prepare and monitor programmes of work Manage design co-ordination Work alongside the Site Supervisor to assess plant and resource requirements Skills and requirements: Demonstrable experience of working as a Sub Agent (or similar) Experience of site surveying HNC / HND background or qualified by experience Valid CSCS card Knowledge and experience of CDM regulations 2015 Experience of or a demonstrable interest in working on environmental projects Ecological Knowledge very strongly regarded (desirable) Experience of Supervising / managing others Excellent communication skills and the ability to instruct and direct staff from different client groups To apply, send your CV to this advert, or for more information contact Ngaire (Ny-ree) Wallace at Thorn Baker on or (phone number removed).
