Permanent Construction Quantity Surveyor Project Manager Management Skilled Trades & Labour

Job Description

Core Group are pleased to offer an excellent opportunity for the right candidate. The position of Quantity Surveyor is available in Horton. For this role you will be actively involved in future development by helping to deliver a continuous flow of new business and identifying opportunities in both competitive tendering and new projects. The successful candidate will ensure robust, accurate and innovative advice is delivered to clients to align with their needs and objectives. For this role you will be expected to: Prepare draft applications for Project Manager approval, value completed work and arrange payments Own and Manage all Contractual correspondence and communication Develop and own a weekly CVR process and commercial reporting process Undertake cost analysis for project work Perform risk, value management and cost control Advise on a Procurement Strategy Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks Provide advice on contractual claims Maintain awareness of the different forms of contract in current use Managing all aspects of the estimating process at enquiry stage Pursue opportunities and prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities Prepare and analyse costings for tenders Production of robust estimates Efficiently and effectively plan workload balance between site survey visits and quotations Prepare and issue sub-contract enquiries and assessment of quotations upon receipt Pricing and purchasing Materials, Labour and Sub-Contractors for contracts In order to be considered for this position you will need to meet the following criteria: 2 years' relevant experience gained in a commercial environment, preferably in the field of environmental services Experience of working to strict operational regulations Experience of working in a dynamic environment to identify changing hazards and risks BSC (Hons) in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management (or equivalent) Member of or working towards RICS (or equivalent) Knowledge and understanding of NEC type contracts Skill and Abilities Able to demonstrate excellent customer focus skills and awareness with clients, Site Operatives, Managers and Office The ability to complete reports to a high standard Ability to multi-task and problem solve within If you are interested, please apply with an up to date CV.
