Quantity Surveyor

Our client is one of the UK’s leading support services companies with a substantial portfolio of Public Private Partnership projects and extensive construction capabilities, currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor for their team. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Working with the existing estimator and liaise directly with site managers and foreman
• Accountable to the Project/Senior Quantity Surveyor for commercial and contractual aspects of a Project as dictated by his responsibilities.
• Preparing tender packages, including schedule where applicable
• To assist Supply Chain in the procurement of supplier’s/sub-contractors/consultants
• Reviewing prices with sub-contractors and negotiate contracts
• Checking tenders carefully and placing accurate orders
• Review and check subcontract applications/invoice
• Preparation of accurate and prudent cost /value analysis within a project
• Pricing and Rating variations and compensation events
• Extension of Time
• Interim payment and final account agreement of sub-contracts
• Ensuring good quality and accurate records are kept
• Review costing with conjunction with budgets
• To assist in the production of Project Procurement Strategy Documentation

• Have a proven track record in project surveying and financial control
• Have Excellent organizational skills and be competent in MS Office

• Have excellent Communication and motivational skills
