Advising on commercial alterations using you design function knowledge
Establish designer and designer checker requirements and review suitability
Complete, Submit and gain acceptance of proposal forms and resources
Site inspections and audits
Provide technical support and Guidance on project
Attend all senior meetings and provide reports on all engineering and technical matters
Ideal Candidate will have:
BEng within Civil Engineering or equivalent
Ideally Main Contractor Design Management experience
Ideally multi-disciplined but will consider Rail Civils OR Systems experience (Track, civils, Signalling, OHLE, Building)

Up to £60,000, plus £6000 car allowance or Car

Working as a painter and decorator our client will be working with some prestigious clients and national organisations on a wide variety of projects. Your role will include but not be limited to:
About you:
You will be working alongside the lifting teams to provide safe direction and supervision to the crane operators. Their main responsibility is to ensure the safety of the operators, and any other workers or site visitors that could be at risk.
To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
Up to 1 years experience required to signalling & Banking cranes
You will have a CSCS Banksman Slinger ticket.
Working knowledge of site health & safety procedures would be an advantage but is not essential.
Strong work ethic in a team .

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge? If so then Murphy Group is keen to hear from you, we are looking for someone to lead on the delivery of Commercial Management Services on CP6
The Project
Murphy has been awarded one of three multi-billion-pound contracts by Network Rail for the South of England, worth up to £7bn for Control Period 6 (Apply online only)). The multi-discipline framework will deliver projects of varying value, including stations, buildings and civils, electrifications, power, signalling, telecommunications and track. This is initially in place for a five-year period but has the option of three one-year extensions if require
The Role
o Preparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required.
o Preparation of Valuations/Applications for Payment with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contract.
o Preparation of Cost Reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentation.
o Preparation and management of subcontract and material procurement schedules.
o Administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreement of final accounts.
o Undertake the contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers.
o Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change
Your Profile
o As well as a HND/Degree qualification you will be registered with RICS/ICES and working towards Chartership
o You will have experience within construction/engineering and a commercial background, ideally in a Rail environment
o Commercially astute, you will also be computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office applications
o You will have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to negotiate and persuade others
