What you'll be doing
As a/an Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will have the following accountabilities:
* Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with standard company HSE procedures and work instructions
* Contribute to the management and maintenance of a contract cost reporting system ensuring all financial information is managed and up-to-date and tracked with budget/tender allowances, commitments and deviations highlighted and managed
* With other members of the team, produce and provide accurate subcontract and procurement forecasts and project cost to completion.
* Continually monitor costs in line with budget.
* Ensure that necessary interface information between customers, suppliers, sub-contractors and other departments is provided in a timely manner.
* Monitor cash flow and valuation plan, ensuring applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
* Ensure contract variations are identified, valued and turned into agreed variation orders with the customer in a timely manner.
* Assist in ensuring effective records are maintained to support change / claims and that applications for payment for variations are issued in a timely manner.
* Manage the subcontract tender process, including the selection of sub-contractors and provision of all relevant contract and schedule documentation.
* Ensure that subcontracts are placed in an appropriate manner to step down appropriate responsibilities from the Head Contract. Including design considerations where necessary.
* Provide accurate monthly reporting of cost and value on the project in line with the Companys reporting process.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
* Membership of a relevant professional body and/or relevant professional qualification, such as InstCES/RICS
* Previous experience in Quantity Surveying, some of which should have been obtained within a relevant business of factory facility environment
* Sound working knowledge of construction and contract law and various forms of Conditions of Contract
* Detailed knowledge and understanding of tendering and procurement processes
* Knowledge and understanding of sub-contracting principles, together with the ability to draft and administer sub contracts
* Working knowledge of labour productivity assessments
* A valid CSCS card is beneficial but not essential

Reporting to the Framework Manager, the Senior Construction Manager is responsible for providing construction management and co-ordination of the delivery of multi-system Mechanical work packages including engineering design and procurement activities for all Mechanical works. They are charged with managing from fabrication to construction inspection, testing and completion of the delivery of Mechanical related packages. What you'll be doing
As a/an Senior Construction Manager, you will have the following accountabilities:
* Provide weekly and or monthly installation reports for all works including any sub-contractor as required to the SPM; including: progress, key achievements, significant issues, emerging risks and opportunities, cost and schedule forecasts, including monthly report narrative.
* Work closely and take overall responsibility of the construction team that will consist of Project Engineers, Quality Engineers, Quantity surveyor, Supervision and a blue collar workforce trades.
* Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests
* Ensure that packages are delivered to programme, budget, safety and quality expectations/standards.
* Ensure packages comply with good design practice and relevant technical group standards.
* Ensure the relevant design deliverables are reviewed, accurate and fit for purpose prior to works commencing.
* Identifying risks to project Team associated with the delivery of their works raising commercial notifications alongside the commercial team as appropriate.
* Consolidating and documenting the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, and quality requirements)
* Establishing, and implementing where necessary, protocols to change the scope of projects and updating configuration documents as required to enable the management of change.
* Manage time and complete daily diaries on BIM 360 Field, support the EPPR process (if/as applicable) and contribute to any other reporting format applicable.
* Implementation of Short Interval Control including running of daily section review meeting and production of a weekly section report via BIM 360
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
* Industrial Mechanical bias construction background/qualifications.
* Recognised experience in offsite pipework fabrication
* Recognised experience in various type pipe systems including stainless & alloy materials & in particular coordination of associated approved welding procedures.
* Experience in NDE, PWHT, and methods of testing & chemical cleaning for differing pipe systems.
* Recognised experience in coordinating Temporary works, Rigging Activities and Lifting Activity approvals (Preferably qualified Lifting AP).
* Experienced in coordinating access requirements including appropriate Working at Height selection and or scaffolding request coordination
* Relevant CSCS card.

* Carry out joinery work to include repairing of doors, windows, signposts, formwork and other bespoke timber items.
* Measure and quote for works.
* Order materials.
* Maintain stock of Building Maintenance material.
* Organise and plan your daily work with the supervisor, to record and submit all details of work carried out on relevant works orders.
* Responsible for joinery workshop - maintenance of machines, statutory inspections, housekeeping and cleanliness.
* Participate in the Service’s out of hours emergency standby rota when the need arises.
* Complete statutory records as required.
* Provide technical advice where required.
* Carry out any other duties as requested.
* Act at all times in a manner designed to improve the service and thereby foster good customer and public relations.
What are we looking for?
* Amey will complete a DBS for you upon successful interview and prison security clearance will be required.Level 3 in Joinery & Carpentry.
