To assist in fire evacuations Monitoring of staff car parks including the checking of validity of staff passes To ensure all stocks and provisions are maintained throughout Council buildings Carry out basic maintenance duties using various light hand tools Meet and liaise with contractors and Engineers on site Prepare meeting rooms in readiness for meetings and functions, ensuring that equipment is in good working order Take part in ceremonial occasions and attend upon the Sheriff or Lord Mayor and Mayor Notwithstanding the detail in this job description, the job holder will undertake such work as may be determined by the Account Manager/Workplace Solutions Supervisor from time to time, up to or at a level consistent with the Principal Responsibilities of the job and in any location within the borough of Cheshire West and Chester. Job Role
To be a Key member of the Maintenance team, ensuring safe and full operation of Hard Services at Aviva York & Sheffield contracts whilst taking consideration for the clients, staff, visitors & other service provider’s needs.
To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Proactive and Reactive works to all Electrical and mechanical systems in accordance with agreed service levels. Working independently or in a team to complete all maintenance and servicing tasks. To participate as part of an on-call rota for emergency call outs.
The engineer must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge of plant within a typical office block environment. Experience with HVAC heating systems, Air Handling Units, Fire alarms and associated equipment, Building management systems, Hot and cold-water systems including pumps and water temperature control would be advantageous.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment and systems to meet and exceed expectations, and agreed service level agreements.
2. Respond to Building Management System alarms, and effect emergency repairs as needed.
3. Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the sites plant.
4. To develop a good working relationship with all members staff and the various client’s staff & Contractors.
5. Complete and return job sheets to allow records to be kept up to date. Ensure all tasks issued are completed in agreed SLA times & if there is a risk this cannot be achieved then seek assistance from Supervisors
6. Ensure a professional image is presented to clients and visitors and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
7. To ensure tasks as directed are completed with the appropriate H&S awareness/implementation.
8. Overseeing and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance

• Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Certifications from a recognised institution
