Overview

The Role
* Create 2D drawings and 3D models as required by Engineers with minimal supervision using AutoCAD and Revit
* Produce 3D visualisation files which can be used in presentations
* Ensure all work produced meets the required standards
* Maintain a drawing register, and file electronically and manually as appropriate
* Ensure completion of all assigned tasks within agreed timescales
* Regularly liaising with Project Managers, lead technical staff, Engineers and clients
* Assist Project Engineers with data input (such as co-ordinated setting out drawings and schedules)
* Maintain and develop a strong client focus in the timely provision of accurate drawings
* Ensure drawings are issued to site in a prompt and correct fashion
* To take a responsible and pro-active role in communicating with both internal and external stakeholder

To develop specifications and any other technical information to contribute to the delivery and procurement of projects.
To prepare planning application and building regulation packs of information to achieve legislative consents.
To ensure all technical information provided is accurate to legislative standards, ACoPs and best practice.
The management and issuing of works orders ensuring compliance with legislative, contractual and workmanship requirements including the briefing and commissioning of all consultants and clients.
To prepare option appraisals, feasibility studies, estimates and technical reports as required, ensuring that value is added to the work of the Technical Design Team through innovation and creativity and advising Clients and Service Managers on options and recommendations.
To manage, direct and monitoring works during the construction phase to include contract administration, variations, project costs and final accounts as appropriate. To assist with evaluating and determining appropriate actions where problems occur and reporting these to the client.
To operate within the policies, systems and business plans of the Technical Design Team and Company

We are currently working with a contractor who has active work and is currently hiring a large number of Cable Pullers for an ongoing programme of work presently in West and North West Scotland.
Important:
You will be performing cable pulling, assisting Fibre Technicians and Civils Operatives with varied construction tasks, completing shallow groundwork and digging activities. You will potentially be using a steel saw, for which training will be provided and / or working on the tarmac to cut out and then reinstate this tarmac on the roads and public highways.
As you will be working in the public eye, sometimes in busy town and city centres or local to customer's houses and be wearing our client's branded PPE you will be expected to always behave in a professional manner.
