Job Description

This innovative, award wining FMCG organisation are expanding their operations and are now looking for a electrically led Maintenance Engineer to join and support their maintenance team.
Purpose of Job 

You will be charged with working on, repairing and maintaining all plant and equipment on site to achieve engineering objectives, and to help identify areas for improvement, which would increase overall equipment effectiveness. 


Principal Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for improving and promoting safety across the site,
Your remit will include carrying out work orders to repair and maintain plant and equipment,
You must have had experience in improving machines and processes to increase equipment effectiveness,
Carry out and allocate PPM work schedules,
Ensure all work is recorded on the computer based work order system,
Support other Engineering personnel to achieve departmental goals,
Ensure all breakdowns & project work are carried out within the required time scale,
Responsible for helping to identify your own personal training and development needs, 

Knowledge & Experience 
Ideally served an indentured craft apprenticeship,
At least 2 years working in a maintenance/engineering department,
City & Guilds Electrical Parts 1 & 2, and familiarity with 17th edition wiring regulations,
Ability to fault-find PLC systems using ladder-logic programs and diagnostic tools, and;
Other further training and experience in electrical maintenance matters
