Building Design Technician

Building Design Technician We are currently recruiting for a Building Design Technician to work with the Technical and Commercial departments to produce accurate working drawing packages in Autocad format and co-ordinate the provision of all supporting ancillary drawings to meet the company’s requirements within the programmes timescales. Key Duties -Produce variant and new house type drawing packages and liaise with key suppliers to provide ancillary drawing information. -Produce block plans, sections and elevations. -Co-ordinate the accuracy of information supplied by all departments to ensure no discrepancies. -Submission of all information to NHBC and obtaining approval of same, obtaining SAP assessments together with EPC’s. -Ensure compliance with HQI’s, Lifetime Homes and Code for Sustainable Homes requirements together with Secured by Design and apply for Robust Details. -Obtaining and collating all ancillary specialist drawings i.e. heating and plumbing. -Co-ordinate information and liaise with in house architects, civil and structural engineers and landscape architects. -Prepare all drawings and document for printing for Pre-start meetings -Maintain the archiving of all drawings and files. Key requirements -BTEC HND/HNC in Construction or Building Studies or relevant experience with a residential developer -At least 12 months experience working within a residential house builder -In-depth knowledge of CAD. -Working knowledge of Code for Sustainable Homes.
