Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Quantity Surveyor - London Contract position Salary Negotiable - depends on background and experience Mechanically biased M&E Quantity Surveyor is sought to work on an £18 million newbuild Hospital in London. An established M&E Building Services Contractor are looking for a commercially aware and confident client facing individual to undertake the role of Senior Estimator/Quantity Surveyor. The Quantity Surveyor function is the main bias but we are looking for someone to oversee and implement instructions from the client and work closely with the project director. The Company is a Mechanical & Electrical Building Services industry with an excellent reputation of providing outstanding quality. The project involves the installation of HVAC, Power and Heating Systems on a New Build Hospital in London. About the Role * Follow and implement instructions from the client and main contractor * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans * Overseeing of first and second fix mechanical installations. * Experience in costing and pricing Mechanical Installations and refurbishment (In particular, HVAC) * Lead the development of successful commercial and financial controls * Manage and pro-actively support all commercial and surveying activities * Provide a weekly report to Project Director * Promote the Company to clients * Present and be the face of the Company to both existing and Prospective clients (in the company of the Project Director) Preferred Requirements * 5 Years' Experience within M&E Quantity Surveying * Outstanding client interaction skills - confidence to present and promote Company * Well-presented and high level of Professionalism * Background - Either A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or A strong background and experience in the HVAC or Mechanical trades and a few years experience This project offers 2-3 years work
