The role of the Quantity Surveyor – Roofing & Cladding Systems will involve:
Quantity Surveyors position dealing with various roofing and cladding systems including: hard metal roofing & cladding, composite roofing & cladding, flat roofing, green roofs, brown roofs, rain screen cladding, performed aluminium’s
Keeping up to date with site progress, recording progress made, and transferring information onto monthly payment applications
Updating any changes to the agreed contract scope
Keeping track of monthly application figures and ensuring relevant departments are aware of potential budget or financial constraints
Reviewing labour schedules and comparing to actual progress on site
Pricing variations and changes in line with subcontractor parameters
Reviewing project drawings, comparing construction drawings to tender drawings documenting any changes
Develop and foster working relationships with clients, client reps, and suppliers
The ideal applicant will be Quantity Surveyor – Roofing & Cladding Systems with:
Must have 3 years’ Quantity Surveying experience within the UK construction industry
Ideally will have experience within the roofing, façade, cladding, or building envelope market sectors
In depth understanding of subcontracts (JCT Design & Build & NEC3)
Must hold a full UK driving license with access to a car
Must have a good understanding of technical drawings

We are looking for an Estimator for a well-established company in the facades industry. They deliver a variety of skills including curtain walling, specialised renders, cladding and steel framing systems.
Candidate must have knowledge of all facade, curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, lightweight steel framing (SFS) and insulated render systems systems on the market.
The Role
Preparation, issue and progressing of quotations
Attendance at pre-order meetings
Site visits to ascertain works involved as required.
Negotiation to secure orders
Detailed handover of secured projects to construction team
Preparation of detailed quotation analysis’ into various schedules
Assisting Site Managers & Surveyors with pre-start planning and programming
The Attributes
Excellent communication skills both orally and written
Excellent computer skills, in particular using Outlook and Excel
Excellent numeric skills
Knowledge of on-screen measuring software. We use Bluebeam.
The ability to carry out on screen take off and prepare a bill of quantities. We write all BQ descriptions.
The ability to produce a detailed, high quality quotation document
Able to build up item rates from scratch
To work under your own initiative whilst adhering to company policies
To work on many projects concurrently
An ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
Conscientious, disciplined and diligent
Willingness to travel to meetings as and when required.

Full clean UK driving license
5 years’ experience of the role on offer
Experience in estimating external facades including rainscreen cladding, lightweight steel framing (SFS) and insulated render systems.

We are looking for an Estimator for a well-established company in the facades industry. They deliver a variety of skills including curtain walling, specialised renders, cladding and steel framing systems.
Candidate must have knowledge of all facade, curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, lightweight steel framing (SFS) and insulated render systems systems on the market.
The Role
Preparation, issue and progressing of quotations
Attendance at pre-order meetings
Site visits to ascertain works involved as required.
Negotiation to secure orders
Detailed handover of secured projects to construction team
Preparation of detailed quotation analysis’ into various schedules
Assisting Site Managers & Surveyors with pre-start planning and programming
The Attributes
Excellent communication skills both orally and written
Excellent computer skills, in particular using Outlook and Excel
Excellent numeric skills
Knowledge of on-screen measuring software. We use Bluebeam.
The ability to carry out on screen take off and prepare a bill of quantities. We write all BQ descriptions.
The ability to produce a detailed, high quality quotation document
Able to build up item rates from scratch
To work under your own initiative whilst adhering to company policies
To work on many projects concurrently
An ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
Conscientious, disciplined and diligent
Willingness to travel to meetings as and when required.
Experience, Qualifications etc.
Full clean UK driving license
5 years’ experience of the role on offer
Experience in estimating external facades including rainscreen cladding, lightweight steel framing (SFS) and insulated render systems.

They have an established reputation for being master craftsmen in the use of traditional metal products such as zinc, copper and stainless steel, and they have extended their skills and expertise to cover the whole of the external building envelope.
Main Purpose of the job:
To assist and produce priced tenders that are accurate, clearly detailed, competitively priced and returned within deadlines. Maintain good relationships with prospective clients and professionals to promote further tender invitations and provide clearly identified price build-ups to the Contract team.
The post holder will:
When tenders arrive, assess the type of tender, client and closing date of tender to determine prioritisation of all tenders
Review and assess tenders ensuring all tender documents are received and are correct
Review tender documents assessing scope risks involved, tender complexity and provide feedback to the Commercial Director.
In-conjunction with Quantity Surveyor, conduct site inspections for tender understanding, analysis of conditions, assessment of risk and identification of activities that may or may not be shown in the tender documents.
Delegate activities to the Quantity Surveyor.
Calculate and prepare quantities in conjunction with the Quantity Surveyor.
Compile letter of offer, tender schedules, program and other items required by the tender.
Once tender is completed incorporate all relevant details, forward to Estimating Director for review and approval prior to submission.
Liaise with client on an on-going basis to determine progress of tender.
Compile relevant tender information into Estimating Software and estimate price.
Make tender amendments where applicable utilising client feedback on submitted tender.
Maintain sound and cooperative working relationship with existing clients
As required attend and participate at Industry functions
The post holder will also undertake any other duties as required
In addition to the above duties, all staff are required to:
Undertake appropriate training and staff development as required
Adhere to all company’s policies and procedures, including Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety.
Respect confidentiality: all confidential information should be kept in confidence and not released to unauthorised persons.
Participate in the company’s Performance Review and Development Scheme.
Adhere to Company’s environmental policy and guidelines and undertake tasks in a sustainable manner
Qualifications
CSCS – Yellow Visitors Card
Degree or Higher National Certificate in Construction/Building, or equivalent ideal
Previous estimating experience of at least 3 years.
Experience and Knowledge
Knowledge of contractual procedures and responsibilities
Project range will be between £500k and £5m project,
Focus on rainscreen cladding.
