Top Tier Contractor, Large Scale Projects Your new company Hays Construction have been retained by one of Northern Ireland's largest construction contractors are now recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on large-scale civil engineering projects. Established as a stalwart of the construction industry in Northern Ireland for over 70 years, they have been involved in some of the largest construction projects across the UK and NI. Operating with a turnover of over £200m, they continue to expand and grow, and due to such growth they now require a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Civils Division. Your new role Reporting directly to the Head of civils, this position will be pivotal in providing quantity surveying support services to the Civil Engineering Team. You will come on board their Commercial Team as the project lead on a large-scale project in the UK. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the project delivery team, responsible for the full financial management of the project. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a focus on establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the client and all external parties. What you'll need to succeed The successful candidate will be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or stem from a construction related disciple. Due to the location of projects you must be flexible to travel to the UK - 3 days a week. You will have at least ten years pre and post contract experience in a Quantity Surveying role working on civils projects. You will be self-sufficient with a proven track record of running similar size projects. Strong commercial attitude and excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be dealing with sub-contractors and clients on a daily basis.
