Job Description

Sphere are currently recruiting Design/Technical Coordinator for a well known building contractor who have a regional office in Cardiff. JOB DESCRIPTION: To coordinate and control release of information to site teams and clients. New build (will be predominately on new build) and refurbishment Good understanding of Welsh building regulations. WHQS and DQR. To coordinate the consultant team in the development of the detailed design, ensuring the design is fully coordinated and complies with company requirements and current regulations, to achieve the necessary approvals and enable a start on site in line with agreed programmes. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum relevant Level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 etc.) • Proven track record of Programming and coordination. • Up to date relevant knowledge of building legislations and procedures. • Valid driving licence • Knowledge of methodology and sequencing process in delivering a construction project including design and pre-construction activities. • Good understanding of Welsh building regulations. WHQS and DQR. • New Build experience • Confident managing a broad team of consultants • Client experience • Need to be in similar role at present • Standalone role so need to be able to work independently This is an excellent opportunity with long term career prospects.
