Vivid's Local Authority client in the West Midlands are looking to recruit an private sector housing officer for at least a 6 month period. The successful candidate will assist the private sector housing officer in developing and implementing the Council's Private Sector Housing Renewal Strategy, Energy Efficiency and Empty Homes Strategies and oversee the efficient implementation of the statutory duties of the council in respect of private sector housing and energy efficiency. Main Duties and Responsibilities To undertake administration of the mandatory HMO licensing scheme including the identification and inspection of licensable properties and the assessment of application documentation. To devise and determine licensing conditions, compile schedules of work and make recommendations for licence approval to ensure compliance with the Housing Act 2004 and the Management of Houses of Multiple Occupations Regulations 2006 To develop and progress a monitoring programme for licensed HMOs To inspect private sector dwellings following complaints from tenants or members of the public regarding property conditions To issue schedules of work to landlords To investigate and interview on claims of harassment and illegal evictions of private sector tenants. To issue Formal Notices to owners of property under the Housing Act 2004 (Housing Health and Safety Rating System) and other legislation and attend Residential Property Tribunals and court as necessary. Visiting homes and producing letters for immigration purposes This role is heavy on enforcement so enforcement experience, ideally with court experience, is key. · Advertise job adverts on job boards, career pages and social media channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter) · Onboarding of new hires
· Updating the HR System with new starter details
· Review and screen of CV's and applications
· Providing interview feedback as needed
· Answering queries from candidates related to hiring process
· Updating job descriptions such as tasks or modifying requirements
· Reporting to the Recruitment Manager and hiring managers on the status of open jobs
· Sourcing candidates via online platforms
· Creating talent pools
· Participate in careers and job fairs to boost company's reputation and visibility
· Work in a collaborative approach with the PSL as and when required
· Update both the Agency and Permanent recruitment tracker
· Produce recruitment reports and provide administration support as and when required
· Attend meetings to keep up to date with future and current recruitment requirements
Agency background, as well as in-house, understands Civil Engineering/Construction both Blue and white-collar, knows how to Head Hunt with a proactive approach to work etc - hours are Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.30 pm

The Ancillary Cleaner must be able to take director and communicate effectively. They will have a good understanding of health and safety along with being able to work as part of a team and without supervision. Individuals must be conversant with good standards of housekeeping.

Experience of working within a large industrial environment is highly desirable.
