ProTech are currently working with an Electronics company based in Northampton who are seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract. The main duties of the Manufacturing Test Engineer will be to test and fault find down to component level on various products and test to specifications using appropriate test equipment.
Manufacturing Test Engineer Requirements:
It is essential that candidates are computer literate Knowledge and experience of fault finding digital electronic circuitry Knowledge of Boundary Scan debug of electronic assemblies Proven experience of testing to component level Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis would be desirable Due to the nature of the project the Manufacturing Test Engineer will need to hold SC Clearance or have the ability to obtain it
Manufacturing Test Engineer Responsibilities:
Diagnose faults to component level on Single Board Computers, Network and Graphics based products Test to specification using appropriate test equipment and documentation Maintain test equipment and carry out general housekeeping of test equipment to ensure ongoing reliability Accurately record all faults in SAP and prepare reports detailing fault diagnosis and corrective action/repair Candidates will be required to confirm test equipment is within calibration ranges set

Gate Engineer Job Spec:
Requirements:
1. Basic knowledge of electrics and electronics (required for fault finding within the gate electronic automation systems)
2. Knowledge of gate automation systems (various manufacturers, understanding of the safety system electronics and general operation, including optical, resistive and other systems)
3. Experience in welding (mainly repairs to steel gate frames and operators, minimum fabrication)
4. Ability to Risk assess and force test the automated gate and door systems
5. Gate Safe or DHF certified is desirable (will be trained in house if certification is not held)
Included with the package will be:
- Company van
- Fuel card
- Mobile phone (app to be used for completing jobs)
- Any courses that we feel would benefit engineer
- Company uniform and PPE (must be worn at all times)
- Call outs (1 in every 4 weeks compulsory with the option to opt in for more)
Call out rates are as follows (door to door):
- Minimum 2 hour call £65
- 3 hour call £90
- 4 hour call £115
- Thereafter per hour £20
On Friday @ 5pm - Monday @ 8am
Weeknights @ 5pm - 8am the following day.
Off on the following Friday morning at 8am and the next team takes over that evening.
Self-employed basis on approx.. £140-£160 per day.
