Key Activities:
* Lead the electrical services design for a range of projects
* Design and specification of electrical services for various types of buildings and sectors
* Production of detailed Schematics
* Develop the electrical design standards within the organisation
* Mentoring of junior engineering staff
* Provide fully detailed tender packages and monitor installation/quality on site until project completion
* Tender report / analysis / recommendations
* Develop project scope with design team / client
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, REVIT an advantage
* Produce budgets and reports for clients
* The role will be primarily office based but will involve some site attendances
* Be capable of taking the lead on projects with minimal input from management team
* Must legible to work in Ireland (Must have European passport)

A Mechanical & Electrical Contractor based in Brentwood; Essex are looking for a Junior/Intermediate Mechanical Estimator due to continued growth within the business.
They are a privately-owned company which provides building services contracting from design and build to traditional engineering projects and project management for Main Contractors and Developers. They operate across various sectors but predominately residential apartments blocks. These projects range in value up to £10M.
As the Junior / Intermediate Mechanical Estimator you will work within an established estimating and contract management assisting in preparing mechanical estimates of values up to £10M but initially be working on smaller projects to develop your estimating skills and knowledge. This will enable you to learn the concepts and procedures of estimating with the scope of progressing your career into an Estimators role.
As the Junior/Intermediate Mechanical Estimator will have the following duties and responsibilities:
· Assist preparing mechanical tenders to a high standard.
· Obtain competitive and accurate quotations from mechanical specialists.
· Liaising with other members of the estimating team and Contracts Managers.
· Carry out estimates using electronic packages.
· Develop working relationships with design consultants, main contractors and clients to establish communication paths.
Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:
· Ideally have experience within in similar position as Mechanical Estimator.
· Mechanical qualifications.
· High level of maths skills.
· Strong negotiation skills.
· Confident communicator.
