The contract, which started in September 2009, is to maintain and operate the M25 motorway network, including all adjoining trunk and slip roads, a network of 440km across six counties. CPS also has responsibility for the Dartford River Crossing in Kent, comprising both Dartford Tunnels and the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge.
With a staff of around 600 people, based at seven locations across the network, CPS carries out routine maintenance and whole-life management of the thousands of M25 assets. CPS manages the operation of the network 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including a severe weather season maintenance programme. CPS is identifying ways of reducing delays and improving journey time reliability across its road network.

Nuparc require a Design Engineer with 5 years + highway design experience to join the delivery team of a large organisation who would lead on the design of main corridor routes.
The candidate would need to have the skills to undertake the horizontal and vertical design along with detailing the civils elements of the scheme. (Note the organisation are not expecting the Engineer to have capability in Lighting and Signals design as this would be outsourced).
They right candidate would also be expected to supervise other members of the design team such as Cad Technicians. There is no requirement to Project Manage the design delivery on this project.

Nuparc require a Design Engineer with 5 years + highway design experience to join the delivery team of a large organisation who would lead on the design of main corridor routes.
The candidate would need to have the skills to undertake the horizontal and vertical design along with detailing the civils elements of the scheme. (Note the organisation are not expecting the Engineer to have capability in Lighting and Signals design as this would be outsourced).
They right candidate would also be expected to supervise other members of the design team such as Cad Technicians. There is no requirement to Project Manage the design delivery on this project.
The Engineers will be expected to have the following skills and experience:
* Experience of undertaking/leading the design and delivery of highway projects
* Experience in designing utilising design packages such as Mx and AutoCad;
* Proven ability to deliver design tasks on time;
* Proven ability to work as part of a team;
* Experience of leading a team of Engineers and Technicians in the delivery of highways projects and reviewing works completed;
* Knowledge of the DMRB and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works.
