UPS Building and Maintenance Ltd is a highly experienced contractor specializing in the social housing sector. We offer a wide range of services including adaptations, planned refurbishment, responsive repairs, voids, structural repairs, gas and electrical works.
With offices in Skelmersdale and Manchester we are centrally located to serve our clients across the North West, including local authorities and registered social housing providers in Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside and Cheshire.
The company was established in 2007 when our Managing Director, Andrew Wood set out with one van and an apprentice, installing kitchens and bathrooms for social housing contractors. Over the last 9 years the company has grown organically and now employs 60 staff with a turnover of over
£5 million per annum.
This growth has been achieved through continual re
-investment in the company, our workforce and our service. In 2014 we moved to new offices in Skelmersdale, created our own training centre and stores facility and invested in new IT systems to support our growing contract base.
Over the last 2 years we have secured contracts with Manchester City Council, Blackpool Coastal Housing, Wigan Council and Chorley Council and over 90% of our workload is now made up of long- term contracts and frameworks with public sector organisations.
