Quantity Surveyor Fit-Out Sector | Central London | Hybrid A highly successful and well-established fast-track fit-out contractor is seeking a motivated and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of commercial activities across fit-out projects, working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, clients and senior leadership. The successful candidate will be comfortable working autonomously while maintaining strong commercial control and accountability.   Key Responsibilities Analyse Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and develop them into clearly defined trade packages. Prepare and issue subcontractor and supplier enquiries, ensuring competitive and commercially sound quotations are obtained. Produce detailed tender and quotation comparison documents and make recommendations based on commercial value. Place subcontractor and material orders, including key material orders following site measurement and procurement requirements. Undertake accurate measurement of works on site and ensure valuations reflect progress and contractual requirements. Manage commercial relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and clients. Attend and lead meetings with suppliers, subcontractors and clients as required. Prepare and present monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) , providing clear visibility of project performance, costs, commitments and forecasts. Report directly to the Board of Directors on commercial performance and project financials. Maintain effective commercial control throughout the project lifecycle, identifying risks, opportunities and potential cost implications. Work independently with a high level of ownership while maintaining direct accountability to senior management and the Board. Requirements A relevant commercial qualification, such as a BSc/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline . Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Surveyor within the fit-out construction sector. 5+ years’ experience delivering high-end leisure, retail or commercial fit-out projects . Strong experience in BOQ analysis, procurement and the development and management of trade packages. Demonstrable experience with subcontractor procurement, valuations, cost control and CVRs. Commercially focused, highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Confident and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to engage with subcontractors, clients and senior stakeholders. Experience presenting commercial information and reporting directly to senior management or Board level. Full UK driving licence. Role responsibilities The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the project. The Project Manager’s primary goal is to deliver projects on time, on budget and within the client expectations. The Project Manager will work in a small team, supported by the Design Coordinator, Technical Designers and is responsible for the Scope, Schedule, Project Finance, Risk, Quality and Resources. Mr Sander® is looking for reliable wood floor sanding and restoration operators for regular work across West London, South West London, Central London, North London, North West London, and sometimes surrounding areas. We are looking for serious people who take pride in clean, high-quality work and want steady projects with an organised company. We handle all client communication, quoting, and material logistics. You just turn up, do great work, and get paid your day rate reliably. We are interested in: Helper / Trainee Operator – £120–£150 per day For reliable people with some flooring or site experience who want to learn properly. Skilled Floor Sanding Operator – £170–£220 per day For people who can sand, prepare, and finish wooden floors to a good standard. (Let us know if you require our machines/transport or have your own). Senior Floor Sanding Operator – £230–£300 per day For highly experienced operators who can run jobs independently, manage fine details, work cleanly, and represent the company well. (Note: The top end of this pay scale is reserved for operators who provide their own van and professional dustless sanding machines). Requirements: Experience with wood floor sanding, restoration, repairs, staining, oiling, or lacquering is preferred. You must be reliable, hardworking, clean, respectful in customers’ homes, and able to follow company standards. Driving is a strong advantage, but not always essential for the right person with high-level skills. Basic English is acceptable as long as your standard of work is excellent. Portuguese and Spanish speakers are very welcome! Regular work is available immediately for the right operators.
